Here we have a wonderful rare early Victorian Yealmpton Devon Windsor Ash and Elm armchair c1840. As you can see the chair has great colour and patina. This chair is made all the rarer for being virtually at full height. The legs have lost very little length on this well looked after chair. There is a hooped back with through spindles. The arms are lathe and flat bent Ash, always remarkable how the maker managed to bend it without splintering. The seat is solid super grainy Elm and there are turned Ash legs. There are traces of the original green paint throughout. A super collectors chair in perfectly usable retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 92 cm high 60 cm wide 44 cm deep seat height 46.
