A chinese carved wood buddha, sitting on a lotus flower in meditative pose, showing several traces of the original bright polychrome colour notably on the face and hands as well as blues, reds, and other colours in the creases and other protected areas of the carving.
This example sits about 14” high and is well weathered. Age is extremely difficult to determine, but a best guess is 19thC or early 20thC, but it could be older given the amount of wear tot he paint finish. A charming piece. My shop at 1 Bridge St, Dulverton TA22 9HJ is open

Shipping information

For large items, I can happily accommodate your own courier who will need to contact me for collection details (TA22 9HJ postcode), or I can arrange a courier for you. Many items include delivery, but for those that don’t simply send me your postcode for a quote.

Smaller items are always sent by a signed for service (probably Royal Mail Next Day, for UK).
Overseas deliveries of smaller items are by various International postal services please ask for a quotation, all fees and taxes associated with exported goods are the complete responsibility of the buyer
