Antique Carved and Painted Statues of a Standing Male and Female Buddha

These wonderful Carvings, have both been carved from one solid trunk of a tree, the paint is a dusty slightly chalky finish, in muted colours.
The Buddhas are 7ft tall standing on a Lotus Base, one hand is in Abhayamudra, the Protection Gesture, the other is in Vajramudra, the Enlightenment Gesture
The Male statue is very Heavy and in quite good un restored condition, with chipping to the base and very slight marking to the original painted finish. The female is in a much lighter wood and has had a repair to her wrist but you have to look pretty hard to see it
The Statues date from the 19th Century and they are 79” Tall and the base is 17” in Diameter
