Caithness Paperweight Geranium Helen Mcdonald 2003
We are offering for sale this large Caithness Paperweight named 'Geranium' (Style 2), designed by Helen Mcdonald in 2003. It is etched on the base CAITHNESS GERANIUM SCOTLAND and the engraved number A11443 It appears in the Caithness Catalogue 2003 on Page 35. Please see the photos as they form part of the item description.
The weight has a large bubble contained within the top, with a white glass base with a blue geranium. The base is made of a circle of blue and white glass, with another white glass shelf with a blue geranium contained within it. Between the base layer and the bubble is clear glass.
The Caithness Glass Company Limited started operations in 1961 and began making paperweights in 1962 after the arrival of Paul Ysart.
