C. Trombetta, Norwich Georgian Stick Barometer


A quality Georgian period stick barometer by Charles Trombetta of Norwich. A mahogany case of elegant proportions. An original cistern cover. An architectural pediment with the original central brass finial. A well engraved silvered dial with scale from 27 to 31 inches with a slide adjuster and thermometer. The top of the dial is engraved 'C Trombetta, Norwich'. Circa 1820.
Charles Trombetta of Norwich is recorded in Banfields' 'Barometer Makers and Retailers' book as working from 1805-1830 at St Georges Street.
