We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning original 1738 dated Antique German Marriage wardrobe / Folded linen cupboard in the oldest and most original paint I have ever seen

I have recently purchased a very large collection of these original, antique painted wardrobes and trunks, I have around 15 wardrobes and 20 trunks in total, each one totally different, this sale is for the piece listed above with all others being listed under my other items
This one is an exceptionally good looking well made and collectable wardrobe, the hand painted detailing is exquisite throughout and as mentioned the absolute oldest I have ever seen, it has so much charm and character. The piece comes complete with the original lock and key which are fully functional. This one is dated to the top 1738, I'm not sure if thats the real original date, it could be later as they were making these wardrobes up until the end of the 19th century, the paint certainly looks old enough to be from the early 18th century!
Inside you have shelves for folded linens
Condition wise this wardrobe has all the original paint and finish, there will be age and use related patina marks as you would expect, all of which add to the honesty, charm and charisma of the wardrobe

We have long term storage which is very economically priced, we are happy to hold stock for as long as needed providing it is arranged prior to the purchase.
If sold items aren’t collected within three months and no arrangements have been made for long term storage you will forfeit the item and payment.

We prefer collection on all items from Wimbledon SW19-3BE, If you have your own courier or wish to book the collection in yourself we are happy to accommodate you.
