This is a delightful hand woven antique Kirman carpet dating from around 1900. The carpet has a pretty floral design with central diamond shaped medallion set within a field filled with arching blooms, flowers, leaves and pomegranate trees. The colour palette of the rug is very pleasing with a rich indigo to the field and warm red, green, light blue, cinnamon and ivory all featured. The carpet is lightly worn which gives it a great antique look, overall generally in good condition for its age.
