Unusual Arts & Crafts Celtic Brass casket with repousse knotwork border and a Celtic ship to the raised front. This is most likely the work of Alexander Richie of Iona although is not marked - as many of his earlier brass pieces were not. The box is cedar lined to the base of the interior and only the lid has decoration. Offered in good condition with one small ding above centre knot. It measures 23cms wide, 16cms deep and 5cms high. PLEASE NOTE, RED HOUSE ANTIQUES HAS NOW RETIRED.
