This is a late Victorian solid mahogany bedroom chair with Bergere or cane seat work. It is a very unusual arts and crafts design with double front bar with line inlay with side stretchers and back stretchers in different section to the front stretchers. It has an elongated taller back supports with a solid back splat and line inlay to the back. the chair is marked to the back leg " h s " . Underneath the front seat rail is marked twice rd meaning it is a registered design although the design number is sadly not there.
