We are offering for sale this lovely Art Nouveau Silver Plated Biscuit Barrel. The lid is in the shape of a flower, the legs and handleare formed by stems and tendrils and there are clover leaves on each side. The main body of the barrel has a hammered finish. There is a beaded rim to the barrel and a vacant cartouche to the front.

The barrel is marked on the base EJF EP A1 and the numbers 2941. We have found that the E J F stands for Elizabeth Jane Fairbairns, who was working in London in the 1890s.
