Very, beautiful, large, powerful image in crackle glaze earthenware by the famous sculptor Domien Ingels 1881 - l946. Monogrammed DI. A bust of a lady symbolic Art Nouveau. An imposing piece of artwork in excellent condition. Domien Ingels was one of the best sculptors of the period. He attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent. In 1900 he became a professor and taught drawing and sculpture until 1941. He died in 1946 leaving a remarkable legacy of work.
