Charming art deco silver sweetheart locket. This is a fantastic quality item stamped 'hb&s' and 'silver' stamped on the reverse side. I believe the maker is herbert bushell & son, birmingham. It is a silver art deco style, I believe it to be from that period roughly 1920's/ 30's. The locket opens up and inside there is an inscription ' to jean from cyril with love 2/ 4/ 41 '. There is also a picture of a man who I believe must be ' cyril '. I presume this was a gift to his love ' jean ' before he left to fight in the war. It is a lovely quality piece which is shown in the design and fantastic blue enamel present on the interior. The locket is probably in need of a polish but selling as I bought it from a private house in scotland. It is in lovely original untouched condition, in need of a nice chain but these can be found pretty easily. A lovely piece with a lot of history and character. Would make a lovely gift or addition to a collection. It measures roughly 1. 5" high by 0. 5" wide by 0. 3" deep.
