An Art Deco bentwood cantilever lounge chair, designed by J.P.Hully for P.E.Gane Bristol, inspired by the designs of Marcel Breuer and retailed through Heals of London c1930's. The frame has curved arms, curved sprung back and stands on sledge feet. The chair has been professionally stripped and re-polished. Newly and completely re-upholstered to include new foam cushions for the seat and back which are removable. In very good condition.
85cmH x 61cmW x 82cmD (seat height 42cm) Our stock items are carefully selected by myself and I only buy good quality items which may need small repairs, a clean and a polish. I don't buy any items that need major restoration, but any loose joints are re-glued. Occasionally, some items may have small amounts of historic extinct woodworm, never enough to affect the integrity of the item, and is always treated as a matter of course. We try to describe and show our items the best we can, and we use studio lighting which sometimes lightens the colour slightly on some of the furniture. All lamps are rewired and PAT tested. Every item we sell we would have in our home (some of them have been!!) It is impossible to describe every item fully, so please feel free to email or call for more information or any queries you may have. The items will have no major defects but will show signs of normal age related wear and use. I would prefer the items to show its life rather than strip it and re-polish it, as it's only original once!
