A fabulous top quality wine / claret jug or pitcher with a figural spout in the form of the face of Bacchus, surrounded by grapevines.

The just is made from a hefty piece of hand blown English crystal with beautiful hand cutting, really tactile the underside having a star cut. The fittings are all silver plate or EPNS, Electro-Plated Nickel Silver and all beautifully decorated with hand engraving including floral and foliate continuous garlands.

The band to the bottom of the jug is where the presentation engraving can be found: " The North Cotswold Hounds From Algernon Rushout. 1882". A wonderful piece of English Sporting / Hunting history.

Superb condition spanning 7 1/2" handle to spout and a base diameter measuring 4 3/4" 9 1/2" tall.
