Victorian WC Fuller Dressing Table Vanity Box
This is an impressive Antique Dressing Table Vanity Box with Silver Lidded Scent and Storage Bottles which bear the Silversmiths mark for Frances Douglas, the Assay Office for London and date letter for 1852. The inside back velvet panel has a gold mount and catch, but is unmarked.
Behind this panel there’s the manufacturers label of W C Fuller (late Batley) as well as a pull out, stand up mirror, which still intact with just a little surface wear.
The Silver lids to the storage pots bear the Silver Hallmarks, the Scent Bottle lids are unmarked but all bear the same motif to the top of the lids. The glass bottles are in very good condition with just a tiny flea bit to a couple but no major chips, cracks or restoration. All stoppers come out of the bottles.
Please note: There is no key for the lock.
Overall, when closed, the box measures approximately 31cm wide, 16cm high and 22.5cm deep, which is in good condition with just a little age-related wear from storage and handling, but nothing major to note.
Please take a look at the photos to evaluate the condition for yourself, as they form part of the description and if you wish to ask us anything about the item, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Payment is accepted via bank transfer, debit/credit card (via SumUp secure payments - we will provide a payment link) or Paypal. Payment by cash on collection is also acceptable. Cheques are not accepted.
