Antique Victorian Rosewood Fold Over Card Table
A lovely Rosewood games table. We date this table to the mid 19th century.
The tabletop is supported by a column with attractive carvings at the shaped base with turned feet over brass castors.
The main table has a rectangular shaped top that swivels and unfolds to a square table and reveals a green baize.
The table has a height of 29.5" (75cm) and a width of 36" (92cm) and a depth 18" (46cm).
With the tabletop opened, it has a height of 29“ (73cm) and a depth of 36” (92cm).
This lovely table remains in a good condition with some surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There is some wear, light scratches and indentation lines to the table top from past use, the tabletop also has a slight age split to the veneer. There is wear to some edges and the base including a couple of age splits to the base area. The baize has been added at a more recent point in its life and is lifting very slightly in a couple of places.
This remains a very stylish and elegant games table. It will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
