Here is an example of a very good quality Victorian mahogany deep buttoned upholstered rocking chair, circa 1850. The chair is constructed of solid mahogany with a swept frame. The chair features the original horse hair underneath the upholstery. The chair would benefit from having the outer layer of material replaced with a material to your liking. We offer an upholstery service if required – please contact us for a quote. This chair is solid in joint and would look good anywhere especially as they are comfortable and they consume little space.

Condition Report
The chair is in good condition commensurate with their age. Nominal old use marks but nothing significant considering the age of the item. Excellent colour patination to the timber. No breaks to the backs or legs. Although there are no rips or tears to the upholstery, the chair would benefit from being re-upholstered. There is fading and wear visible to the upholstery. There is one button cover missing. The chair features the original horse hair stuffing. Free of wood worm, solid in joint and ready to use.

Delivery to any address in mainland England & Wales is £50. For delivery to Scotland & Ireland, please email for a quote. If you wish to avoid the delivery cost, you can collect the item in person. We will inform you by email and/or telephone and provide you with full delivery details including when to expect delivery. Delivery times are usually 1-4 weeks (depending on location). We will contact you to arrange the delivery day please ensure you give us a contact number to aid the delivery process. Delivery includes insurance we can assure you that the packaging standard is second to none and will fully protect the item.
UK Returns & Refunds
A 7 day “no quibble” return policy (from the date you receive the item) is available if you are not happy with this item. The buyer is required to cover the cost of return transit – the collection cost is the same as the delivery cost. You will be given a refund (excluding the delivery and collection cost) as long as the item is returned in the same condition. We will collect the item using our specialist Furniture Delivery Company to avoid any damage. We will not accept returns via a courier service due to experience of damaged items in transit. This refund policy only applies to deliveries to the UK.
UK Buyer Payment
For UK buyers, we will accept cash on collection or delivery cheque, credit card, BACS (free bank to bank transfer). Payment is requested within 5 days of the sale.
International Buyers
