Antique Victorian deep-buttoned tub chair/armchair reupholstered and covered in Ian Mankin's organic fabric. This chair is Victorian and is about 150 years old and would have been made by hand thus the back buttoning is slightly wonky

The seat has been completely professionally reupholstered using original springs and washed horsehair and has been covered in calico - no foam in sight!
The buttoned back has been covered in new wadding and calico thus it would be very easy to change the top cover if required

The chair itself is very sturdy and will probably last another 150 years

I have been an upholsterer for 20 years with qualifications in upholstery and soft furnishings at City&Guild level
