This is an antique copy of Travels from Buenos Aires by Anthony Zachariah Helms. An English language copy of the South American guide book, dating to the Georgian period and printed in London, 1807.
As the former director of mines near Kraków in Poland, Anthony Zachariah Helms (1751-1803) was seconded to South America to aid in the mines of Peru. This book details his travels from Buenos Aires, Argentina to Lima, Peru via Potosi (Bolivia). Originally published in German in 1798, this English language translation was printed by J.G. Barnard of London for Richard Phillips, a contemporary London publisher.
