This is a very good example of a Tekke Turkman carpet of good size dating from around 1920. In typical warm Turkman colour palette the carpet features a soft red and a vibrant orange to the six rows of fourteen guls. The carpet also features very pretty borders and ends with decorative fringes. Finely woven in beautifully soft and lustrous wool the carpet is in excellent condition and is a great room size measuring 337 cms by 256 cms.
