This is a charming, tactile 19th century birch bark snuff box of oval form from Scandinavia, probably Swedish. It is intricately hand-made using a number of bark layers pin together with copper nails. The lid fits snugly on the base.

Dimensions: width 9 cm depth 5 cm height 5.5 cm

Condition: The snuff box is in excellent antique condition. The top is darkened in places from constant handling.
