A most handsome silver plated Chafing Dish standing on three very elegant legs. The underside has the spirit burner which would have been filled with fuel and a woven wick would have been lit to keep the contents warm these are invariably used these days as an entree dish with hot water in the bottom to keep the contents warm to avoid the danger of using fuel.

This example is superb quality and as usable today as 120 years ago, it remains in superb condition. Spanning 9 3/4" handle to handle x 7 1/2" and standing 9" tall to top of handle. The underside is fully marked for the renowned silversmith's, Fenton Brothers of Sheffield and EP for Electro-Plated Nickel Silver.
