A fabulous and scarcely found toast rack dating to around 1890, late Victorian in era. The underside has two marks a printed red crown mark and an impressed crown mark with the initials H & C for Hammersley and Co. of Longton, Stoke-On-Trent.

The rack is made from silver plate fully marked for the top-notch silversmith, William Hutton.

This example would be a fabulous addition to any desk-top as a letter rack or holder. Excellent condition, measuring 7 1/2" x 4 3/8" x 5 1/2" tall.
