Antique silver Limit pocket watch, 1908

The watch has a Swiss stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Limit name, Limit were importers of watches into the UK, and they were based in Oldham in Lancashire, UK. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.
The watch measures 48mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the two case backs for Birmingham 1908 with a case maker's mark for Aaron Dennison. The Dennison Watch Case Company manufactured cases for various watch makers. The case is in good condition, just a little unevenness to the hinged case back but nothing too serious at all.
The watch glass is in lovely condition.
The dial is signed Limit together with the name of the original retailer F J Zelley of Bishops Stortford (the writing is quite rubbed). Blued steel hands (the hour hand is a little out of shape if you look closely), a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
The watch comes in a new presentation box. ALL PRICES INCLUDE UK POSTAGE (excluding Northern Ireland).
