Antique silver H Williamson Coventry pocket watch.
Antique silver H Williamson Coventry pocket watch.
The watch has a stem-winding movement with the stamp for H Williamson under the dial, one of the Coventry watch makers, which is working well. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.
The watch measures 49mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the case backs for Birmingham 1926 with a case maker's mark for the English watch case maker Aaron Dennison, a prolific manufacturer who supplied various watch makers. The case has a couple of small "dings " and some wear to the engine turned detail on the back but overall it is in nice condition for a 1920s piece.
The acrylic lens is in nice condition.
The dial has several faint hairline cracks but otherwise it is in nice condition. Original blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
