This is a delightful, country, antique rocking chair dating to the late Georgian period c.1800.

Beautifully crafted in English oak and ash
Good graining and a desirable aged patina
Strength from the box stretcher decorated with a simple turning

Splayed arms for comfort
Raised on stout, turned legs
Riding on oblique rocking blades

Shaped lathes to the back rest
Dished crest rail
Rush seat, comfortable and in good order
