Magnificent chandelier earrings

These 1920’s dangle earrings are so beautifully designed

Set to the top with a wonderful sky blue topaz with fabulous sparkling past stones suspended below with a further topaz to the bottom

The stones are claw set in silver to great effect. The brilliant cut paste stones are extremely sparkly.

Paste is hand cut glass that sparkles like diamonds it has been used since the Georgian period

These earrings hang so beautifully and look sensational when worn

2 1/4" ( 6cm) long from top of shepherd’s hook
Topaz 5.5mm & 5.5mm x 7.5mm
They date to around 1920/30's
In excellent original condition
Gold shepherds hooks
Weight 18 grams total
They come in the presentation box illustrated

Notes: Past is hand cut glass. It stimulates the fire and brilliance of gemstones, clear paste sparkles like diamonds. Fine paste will often look better than natural gemstones. It was used extensively in the 18th and 19th century where it was popular with royalty and aristocrats.
