This is a lovely example of a pair of 18th Century elm and oak Vernacular country chairs. Completely jointed and without screws made by a joiner they are a great example of British chair making. They have mortice and tenoned joints which are pegged. They have great age and patina and are mid Georgian. A lovely pair of chairs with real character.
