Antique Mahogany Arts & Crafts Armchair
A magnificent and highly unusual antique Edwardian mahogany Arts and Crafts armchair dating from circa 1905. The tall back with a padded pylon-shaped panel within a railed frame over spindle-filled down-curved arms on square tapering legs with turned triple stretchers. Like many Arts and Crafts pieces, this appears to be a one-off. In good condition, the chair frame is solid and sturdy and the fabric appears original. This tall and impressive chair would look stunning in the hall of an Arts and Crafts house.
Construction/Wood:
Mahogany
Condition Report:
Very good condition, solid and sturdy. There fabric appears original, and is understandably quite worn and has marks to it, although the webbing is still fine and is certainly useable as a chair. General wear and marks to the frame commensurate with age.
