Antique Large Silver Plated Oval Cocktail Tray

A large and elegant antique Edwardian silver plated oval gallery tray of excellent scale, ideal as a stylish cocktail or decanter tray.
The tray features a beautifully pierced gallery with geometric lattice decoration and a finely detailed rope twist border surrounding the mirrored base. The elegant openwork sides incorporate shaped carrying handles at each end which add both practicality and decorative appeal.
The tray stands on four classic ball feet which raise the piece slightly from the surface and enhance its graceful proportions. The mirrored base reflects light beautifully making it perfect for displaying decanters, glasses or barware.
Pieces of this size and quality were traditionally used as decanter or cocktail trays and remain highly desirable today for entertaining and interior styling. The generous proportions and elegant design make this a particularly useful piece for a drinks cabinet, bar, dining table or sideboard display.
A very versatile decorative tray that combines practicality with classic Edwardian design.
The tray is stamped to the underside “LB & NS – Made in England,” indicating manufacture by an English silver plate maker in the early 20th century
