This is a wonderful antique Kirman pictorial rug which dates from the late 19th century. The carpet very charmingly depicts three rabbits foraging in a beautiful garden, in colours of sand and powder blue. The floral borders are a camel shade and then indigo. The carpet has some overall wear but is in good condition overall for its age. It really is too good for the floor and looks delightful over a sofa or as a wall hanging. It measures 90 cms by 60 cms.
