This is a beautiful Kashan carpet from Central Persia. This excellent quality carpet has a very beautiful and intricate design in shades of deep indigo, rose and coral. It has an indigo field of scrolling vines around a cusped pole medallion framed by deep rose and coral coloured spandrels and borders, all with much intricate and fine detail. It is a good size, measuring 209cms by 136 cms and is in great condition with good pile, except for some minor wear to the ends.
