Antique Junghans pocket watch
Antique Junghans pocket watch.
The watch has a stem-winding movement, identified as an unsigned Junghans, which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner dust cover.
The watch measures 48mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is nickel and it has engine turned detail to the hinged case back, still nice and crisp, and a vacant cartouche to the centre. Originally there was a rose gold wash around the edge of the case back and the bezel but most of this has worn off over the years.
The watch glass has minor marking, nothing serious.
The dial has a few hairline cracks although fairly faint, and some darkening to the subsidiary seconds dial. Pin set blued hands in the Breguet style, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track with 24 hour numbers.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
