This is a stunning antique Jozan rug from West Persia, dating from the early 20th century. The rug has a beautifully fine detailed design with a deep indigo field of palmettes and angular flowering vines around a cream and terracotta cusped pole medallion. It is framed by camel spandrels and coral pink borders of angular meandering vines and double guard stripes. The rug is in good order save for some slight fraying to the tassels at one end and measures 210 cms by 126 cms.
