ANTIQUE HANDKERCHIEF IN WHITEWORK EMBROIDERY
This is a beautiful example of an antique handkerchief, of the Victorian era with extensive whitework embroidery around the edge and in the corners. The design consists of dainty sprays of flowers and leaves and extends on all sides into th e narow border of Valenciennes lace. The name Gertrude is embroidered on one corner. It is pale cream in colour.
