Antique Gold Fob Pendant Necklace
A splendid antique 9 carat gold swivel fob which is set with carnelian and bloodstone. This fully hallmarked fob is suspended from an elegant cable chain necklace.
This delightful piece is also a watch accessory and so it would make an ideal gift for him or her.
Bloodstone and carnelian are often traditionally paired. The green jasper has inclusions of red hematite which is said to resemble spots of blood, hence the name bloodstone.
Christian legend refers to the blood of Christ turning to stone, as it fell to the ground during the Crucifixion.
Bloodstone is attributed with giving the wearer success, courage and happiness.
Carnelian is said to convey strength and courage.
