Stunning antique gilt overmantel mirror, retaining the original makers label of Thomas Ponsonby, Carver & Gilded to the Queen and his royal Highness Prince Albert.
Frame in wonderful antique condition, gold leaf gilding is lovely and mellow.
Original triple mercury silvered mirror plates are in very good condition.
Sizes 168 cm wide x 57 cm tall.
This fine example date's from 1840.
Thomas Ponsonby supplied many fine furnishings to the royal palaces during the early 19th century.
