A 14 inch (36cm) German Erd Globus Terrestrial globe dating to the late 19th.C. The globe stands on a turned walnut base and has an inlaid compass and brass half meridian which shows ocean currents and shipping routes and latest discoveries. The globe shows signs of wear and could possibly be professional cleaned to restore it to its former glory. It was made by Ludwig Jul.
