This is a rare and exquisite early 19th century silver pendant set with amethyst or amethyst paste stones.

Striking design, possibly French.

The chain it comes on is also antique, but appears to be later and is marked 'Silver' on the catch.
It has an extended lenght of 45 cm.

The pendant has a closed back, typical of the period and there are 2 wires soldered to part of it, possibly to prevent damage due to thinning.

Apart from that, both are in excellent condition for age.

The pendant measures 6.5 cm from the top of the bale and is 3.2 cm wide.
