A magnificent antique George III oak corner cupboard with mahogany banding and inlay dating from circa 1800. It has a brass escutcheon and working lock and key along with shaped top pelmet. It has a painted interior with has 3 shaped shelves. To the top is a band of satin wood and chequer band inlay. Some old worm holes to the top and back. Lovely warm patina to the oak.
Construction/Wood:
Oak with mahogany cross-banding and inlay shell motif.
Condition Report:
Good colour and patina to the oak. Original lock works and comes with key. Scuffs and marks commensurate with age. Top cornice is probably later. Some old worm holes to top and back (not visible from front).
