A handsome antique George 3rd period open armchair in mahogany. This charming open armchair has a shaped and blind pierced back splat in a Chippendale style design. The out-swept arms have crisply carved acanthus leaves to the hand rests. It stands on square legs with supporting stretchers and has a drop in seat. It has been newly re-upholstered in a beautiful, top quality leather hide from Hulshof Royal Dutch Tanneries from the Old Saddle range in a dark reddish brown colour called wine. Lovely warm age to the mahogany, would make a stunning desk chair.
