A 19th century antique French button back slipper chair, with elegant scrolled back on ebonised turned legs. Really nice deep buttoning which is accentuated by the vibrant colours of the fabric. Fabric is well worn, but this does not deter from the impact of this beautifully unique little chair. The frame and springs feel in very good condition, with a nice high back and good support. The castors are also in good condition with delicate brass bobbin embellishers capping off the classic Napoleon III turned legs.
