An interesting silkwork picture dating from the first half of the 19th century. Possibly Colonial or American, it features 3 figures, the 2 men possibly sailors, set against a scene of houses, trees and ships masts. Colours are bright, but the unworked silk at the top of the picture has fractured. The silkwork has an oval glass verre églomisé mount and its original black Hogarth frame. Circa 1830
