A handsome late Victorian biscuit box or barrel, made by from solid polished English Oak with an integral footed base. The fittings, lid and swing handle are made from EPNS (electro-plated nickel silver), always a winning combination of silver and Oak.

The silver is signed by Daniel and Arter well renowned for these silver and Oak pieces, always a winning combination.

The lid lifts off to reveal the original creamware ceramic liner intact.

Excellent condition, measuring 6" in diameter x 7" tall to top of lid finial. Victorian in era, dating to c.1890.
