A fabulous Victorian novelty cruet set standing on a naturalistic base mounted with the most charming scene of a child jumping over a fence, his foot supporting the rope style holders accommodating the cut crystal and EPNS pepperette and the matching mustard pot. I was lucky enough to find an antique mustard spoon that fits perfectly and has been included in the sale of this piece.

The front of the base is mounted with an oval open salt with a lavishly gilded interior. The underside has a makers mark which I haven't identified as yet, certainly a Sheffield silversmith. Making this piece highly collectible is the inclusion of an English design registration diamond shaped lozenge to the coat tails of the boy this allows us to date it accurately, this design registered on 8th February 1873.

A fabulous piece in superb condition spanning 5" max. and standing 5" tall.
