A fabulous Victorian visiting card case made from Mother of Pearl or Nacre shell with exquisite fretwork detail and a central border of Abalone shell.

The case is the same both back and front with a metallic frame and clasp to the top, Once opened the original silk lining is revealed fully intact.

Superb condition dating to c.1860. 4 3/8" x 2 5/8" while closed.
