A wonderful Victorian silver plated Ram's head inkwell, wonderfully executed with lovely detail. The inkwell is unmarked but I would suspect by a silversmith such as John Grinsell.

The hinged lid opens to reveal a spun metallic liner or ink chamber within. Excellent condition (natural wear to the plate in spots, retaining a good antique patina), dating to the Victorian era, around 1880/1890.

Spanning 6 3/4" wide and standing 4 1/2" tall.
