Antique Edwardian Inlaid Mahogany Corner Chair
An attractive corner chair. We date this chair to the early 20th century.
The chair sits on four downward tapering legs with a cross stretcher below.
The chair has a lovely pierced design to the sides of the backrest with oval inlaid sections. The center of the backrest is raised with an inlaid carved top. The top of the arm rests, below the seat pad and the front legs all have an inlaid edge.
The seat pad has been newly upholstered in a blue fabric finished with matching braid.
The chair has a height of 30.5" (78cm), a width of 25" (64cm) and a depth of 23” (58cm).
The chair has a seat height of 16.5” (42cm).
This attractive corner chair remains in good condition with some minor surface wear marks commensurate with age and usage. The chair has some minor wear and indentations primarily to the arms.
This remains a very stylish and elegant corner chair. It is both comfortable and supportive to sit on and will continue to provide rest and relaxation for many years to come.
