This is an antique Chinese lacquer temple chair with a most striking design dating from around 1870. The chair has a delightful patina and good deep colour to the solid timber frame and is traditionally constructed with peg jointing. This is in good original order and is firm of joint and quite sound. The temple chair is a characterful piece and has lovely glow to the lacquered wood.

The chair measures 106 cms high 35 cms deep 45 cms wide. The seat height is 53 cms.
