Quality Foldover Card Table - Mahogany - c1890

This late Victorian period table is presented in lovely order and is a very pleasing example of a fold-over games table.

Presented in excellent condition save for time aged scratches to the upper surface - now well waxed over and adding character rather than detracting.

The piece will make a fine hallway, study or sofa table and converts to a lovely four seat card table making it wonderful for games, tea or intimate dining.

The table rides upon classically elegant reeded legs which terminate with original castors.

In closed form the table displays a fine front edge with moulded detail frieze. The table top spins and lifts open to reveal glamorous crush velvet interior baize surface.

When turned a recessed secret under drawer is revealed which affords useful storage.

The functional design and classic Regency overtones of the lines of this piece ensure that it will suit any location.
